Putin learned of Velopoulos' accusations about sending Greek ammunition to Ukraine

The News has arrived in Moscow

Understandably, the news in question soon reached the Russian media, with the country's state news agency TASS broadcasting the event under the headline: "Treason! Reports of Ukrainian trucks in Greek military equipment depots".

TASS reported in its article the words of the Greek MP and leader of the Hellenic Solution party, highlighting the following characteristic phrase chosen by Velopoulos: "if all this is true, then we are talking about treason".

Velopoulos informed the world that only on January 15, more than 17 trucks, according to data, were found in warehouses of the Greek army.

TASS stated that recently US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken proposed to Greece to transfer or sell weapons to Ukraine. In return, Athens could claim up to $200 million worth of additional US aid.

At the same time, the Russian state media emphasized that our country was one of the first in the West to send weapons and military equipment to Ukraine after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war on February 22, 2022.

"Already since February 27, Greece has sent 40 tons of equipment through Poland with two C-130 transport aircraft. After that, Greece sent new batches of weapons and military equipment," wrote TASS, expressing the displeasure of the Kremlin and Moscow officials at Athens' stance once again.

However, regarding the accusations of Kyriakos Velopoulos, which we should mention have not yet been confirmed, they really set off alarm bells for the Greek staff. In recent days there have been rumors that the pressure from the US is too great, as Washington is desperately looking for ammunition for the Ukrainian army. For many, Greece is the Pentagon's easy target, however the consequences for our national defense would be disastrous if they actually "empty" our strategic stocks.
