The Air Base in Starokonstantinov under attack

More specifically, and according to a recent publication by the Russian Avia-pro, last night the Russian armed forces appear to have carried out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles against military installations in Ukraine in various regions of the country. This was reported by Russian war correspondents and Ukrainian sources.

One of the main targets of the attack was a military airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force, located in Starokostantinov of the Khmelnitsky region in western Ukraine. According to reports, the attack was carried out with the help of Russian Geranium kamikaze drones, i.e. Shahed type.

The landing strip in Starokostantinov is of strategic importance for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as Kiev's Su-24 aircraft equipped with Western Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG cruise missiles are based at this base. These missiles have been used by the Ukrainian military for attacks on Russian territory, but lately such strikes have become very rare. Perhaps one of the reasons for the decrease in the use of these missiles is Russian attacks on this particular Ukrainian airbase.

Following reports of the appearance of Russian drones, Ukrainian sources reported that explosions took place at the airbase in Starokonstantinov. Of course, it remains unknown whether the explosions were caused by the detonation of the explosive charges of the Russian UAVs or by the action of the Ukrainian air defense systems covering the area, so the damage caused to the Kiev military facility remains unknown.

Ukrainian Group Neutralized in Belgorod

Meanwhile, in another recent publication, Avia-pro reported that in the Belgorod region, Russian border guards successfully repelled an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs. During the clash 3 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, while one was wounded. The Russian side did not report any casualties.

The governor of the Russian region of Belgorod, which borders Ukraine, said the clash took place near the village of Terrebreno in Belgorod. A group of 8 people is reported to have entered Russian territory from the village of Grabovskoye in the Sumy region of Ukraine with the ultimate goal of reaching the Krasnoyarusky district of the Russian Belgorod region.
