Turkish journalists in Rhodes provoke with a staged incident by an alleged Greek ex-military man with a "Rambo" knife

The Turkish journalists of Haber Global who were in Rhodes during the great fire and on behalf of the Haber Global news agency, claim that they were attacked with a Rambo-style knife by a Greek national in the presence of the Greek police, whom they accuse, something that the Rhodian press denies, saying that the incident was staged in order to damage the image of Greece.

A local Rhodesian media reports that "the Turks, in the panic that prevailed on the island of Rhodes, found time to stage that their crew was attacked".

In fact, an article in a minority media of Western Thrace reports that "unexpected" findings about the person who attacked Turkish journalists with a knife in Rhodes were obtained by OSINT TURK!

A former Greek military driver who lives in Tel Aviv and works at Tesla attacked our journalists with a Rambo knife.

OSINT TURK, in its investigation based on public sources, investigated the identity of the "perpetrator" of an event that stirred up the whole of Turkey and the journalistic community.

Our findings revealed that the knife attack on Turkish journalists working at Haber Global in Rhodes may not have been carried out by "a madman" as we believed.

The evidence we have uncovered shows that the attack on Turkish journalists was carried out by a Thessaloniki-born former Greek military man, probably working at Tesla and living between Rhodes and Tel Aviv.

The Global Haber journalists, namely reporter Mehmet Altunışık and cameraman Kaan Ülker, while on their way from Asclepius, a small village on July 26, 2023, and driving in the car they had rented, stopped to feed the deer that had escaped the fire.

They were trying to immortalize the event when a red car with a person inside who appeared angry hurled insults and threats at Mehmet Altunışık and Kaan Ülker, driving towards them.

He then showed a "rambo" knife he had taken out of the trunk of his car to our reporter, with the excuse that "we are scaring the deer".

This person was barely restrained by acquaintances and other well-meaning citizens who arrived at the scene, creating time for the Turkish journalists to leave the area relatively safely.

The cameras, windshield and side window of our car were broken. Morally, the Haber|Global team experienced an undeserved trauma.

The Greek police were simply watching the event.

In the open source intelligence research we conducted as OSINT TURK, we aimed to help the Greek police to take action, to expose those responsible in order to ensure the continuation of positive developments between the two countries and to ensure that they are held accountable before the law.

The Greek police remained a bystander and took no action against the person who attacked the journalists with a knife.

As BIRLIK Newspaper and as the Greek Representative of the Union of European Journalists, we strongly condemn this vile attack on our colleagues. We hope that the Greek authorities will comply with the law," the article concludes.

This is, of course, yet another montage of the Turks looking for a way to damage the image of our country inside Turkey and in the international community, with facts that simply do not exist, while their whole attitude has an ulterior motive, especially with the Greek Police, whose men and women were heroically rescuing residents in the burning villages of Rhodes at the same time.
