Weird but interesting! The new armored modular personnel carrier of Germany

Lately, the new modular personnel carrier was developed by FFG. In this stage, the vehicle is named High Mobility Land Platform (or iMoLap). The vehicle was developed as a special vehicle to cover the German Army requirements. It is intended to replace the Wiesel 1 light armored vehicle. A demonstration of the iMoLap was made in 2018 and in 2021 a prototype was sent to the army for tests. If everything went all right, the vehicle will enter production in 2024.

iMoLap is an armored multi-purpose vehicle that can cover a lot of different roles on the battlefield. It was specially designed for off-road missions and traveling through the harsh surface, like sand and snow.

iMoLap is a modular vehicle that includes two units. The rear back can carry passengers, cargo and ammunition, or special gear. The available payload is up to 3,6t. It looks like the rear can be removed. iMoLap can be air transported from aircraft like the Airbus A400M. It can be also transported by helicopters like the CH-53K or the CH-47.

The vehicle is made of advanced and complicated material and of course it's armored. Its armor provides protection against small shells and ammunition. There is extra armor for better protection. The vehicle can withstand mine and other explosions.

The diesel engine that is being used by the vehicle is still unknown. However, there are official statements about the advanced power units and systems of iMoLap.
