Specifications

Lynx CSV has the hull of the Lynx KF-41 infantry fighting vehicle, although the turret is removed. The hydraulic crane can move up to 5t. The vehicle has also a dozer blade in the front and can also be equipped with excavation gear. Lynx CSV can easily be transformed into an engineering vehicle. There is also a cargo platform in the back of the vehicle. Lynx CSV has a second fuel tank for refueling other vehicles.

The main purpose of Lynx CSV is the recovery of other damaged vehicles or vehicles that are unable to move, and transport them to the nearest repairing point. While using its crane, the front blade works as a stabilizer.

Lynx CSV provides maintenance services for similar vehicles on the battlefield. These vehicles can operate in the frontline as there are no separating stations in such areas.

Other purposes of the Lynx CSV include removing obstacles, filling ditches, and creating defense lines. The vehicle was not specially designed for excavation, but it can do a pretty fair job.

The vehicle needs a crew of 3, including the commander, the driver, and the operator. Some tomes these vehicles have more seats for passengers.

Protection and Weaponry

The armored vehicle is similar to the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle, which is one of the heaviest and best-protected vehicles of its kind. Lynx CSV features a steel hull and an extra armor kit. The basic armor can save the vehicle from 30mm shells, and the general armor estimates to withstand 14.5mm machine guns hits. With the extra armor kit on, the protection is similar to that of typical battle tanks. It is believed that Lynx CSV can survive mine explosions equal to that of 10kg TNT, under its hull. The crew members set on energy-absorbing seats. The NBC is fitted on the vehicle.

The weaponry includes a remotely-controller turret with a 12.7mm heavy machine gun. There is another option with a 7.62mm machine gun or a 40mm grenade launcher.

Lynx CSV features a conventional design with a front engine. The vehicle is being operated with the help of a diesel Liebherr that develops 1,140hp.
