This is Russia's new mine protected vehicle of the KamAZ series!

KamAZ-4386 is a Russian armored vehicle that was designed to withstand mine explosions. Its development started in 2015 and it was given the ability to be air transported. Its production started in 2020 and till now, it serves the Russian Army in limited units.

The vehicle has a crew of two and can carry up to six soldiers. It can also transport cargo up to 2.5t or tow trailers and other vehicles. Taifun can operate in different roles, like personnel carrier, command vehicle, or transport vehicle.

The vehicle can survive mine explosions equal to 8kg of TNT, anywhere under its hull.

The main version features a 12.7mm machine gun on its roof. There are also versions with a 30mm cannon or other weapons.

Taifun's engine is a KamAZ-60.30.350 diesel engine that develops 350hp. There is also a more powerful option with a horsepower of 450hp. The vehicle features hydropneumatic suspension, although there is a version with an ordinary one. This version is cheaper, but it can't be airlifted. 

Some of the transport aircraft that can airlift Taifun are the Il-76 and the An-124, or the Mi-26 helicopter. Some sources even state that the vehicle can be airdropped with the crew inside!
