Massacre for the Ukrainians in Zaporizhzhya - Bloody mistake with over 600 dead & wounded - Russian advance in Avdeevka (Video)

The Kiev regime does not accept the reality on the front line and the military command continues its attempts to achieve at least some gains from the failed counter-offensive, losing more military equipment and manpower in daily attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the total losses of the Ukrainian army during the day amounted to more than 600 servicemen, including dead and wounded.

Kiev's counter-offensive on the southern front lines ended in bloody failure. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) did not stop attacks in the areas south of Orekhov.

The Ukrainian forces continue their efforts to gain a foothold on the outskirts of Novoprokopovka south of Rabotino. On 8 October, all Ukrainian soldiers hiding in buildings on the outskirts were destroyed and forced to retreat. On 9 October, the AFU launched new attacks and managed to reach the northern outskirts of the village. However, they again failed to gain a foothold and were pushed back by Russian forces. Fighting continues in the nearby fields, there are battles for control of the hills near the settlement.

In the evening, a large convoy of Ukrainian armoured vehicles was spotted entering the town of Orekhov. The convoy reportedly included up to 40 vehicles, which came under fire from Russian artillery. As a result, a large fire broke out in the area.

Rainfall started in steppes in areas of southern Ukraine, which marks the end of the active phase of Kiev's counter-offensive. The Ukrainian army has stopped large-scale attacks and continues tactical attacks by small groups. In turn, Russian forces are launching counter-attacks in various areas, pushing the AFU from their positions.

Meanwhile, heavy artillery duels continue. Both sides are launching drone attacks, while Russian aircraft continue to pound Ukrainian military positions.

The Russian military has advanced on Avdeevka over the past 24 hours, Jan Gagin, an adviser to DPR chief Dennis Pusilin, told RIA Novosti. "At least two enemy fortified areas have been destroyed," he said.

Gagin added that in the last 24 hours alone Ukraine had lost up to a hundred people dead and wounded in the region. In addition, the Russian army hit up to 20 units of equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces.

According to him, artillery strikes against Ukrainian positions in the city are now continuing.

In late September, Pushilin reported the improvement of Russian positions in the direction of Avdeevka and the expansion of the grey zone in the city.
Avdeevka is a northern suburb of Donetsk, which over the past seven years has been turned by Ukrainian security forces into a heavily fortified area. From the territory of the city, the Ukrainian armed forces are shelling peaceful neighbourhoods of the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic.
