Lasting counterattack-Russian Ministry of Defence: The Ukrainians failed and were intercepted in the Tokmak region (Video)

According to the RIA Novosti news agency, the Russian army controls the village of Sadovoye in the Tokmak district of the Zaporizhzhya region and the village of Urozayanove in the same region, according to a video released by the Russian Defence Ministry.

Apparently the Ukrainians infiltrated to a point and then the Russian forces fought back with the support of artillery fire and tanks.

"Sandovoye is fully under the control of Russian military personnel," the Russian Defense Ministry said, stressing that, "the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not stop attempting to advance in the Orenhov sector, as artillery battles are being fought day and night."

"We are now in continuous counterattack-Russian Ministry of Defense: Ukrainians have failed intercepted in the Tokmak district of Zaporizhia. We are holding defense. As for the information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered and occupied these territories, all this is untrue. Here we stand with confidence . We are holding the defense. And we will not let the enemy penetrate," the team leader with the call sign Fidel told reporters.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that Urozhayanove also remains under the control of Russian troops.

"The settlement of Urozhayanove was, is and will be under the control of the Armed Forces of Russia. Our children are steel," said a Russian soldier from the West group in a video shot near the administrative building of this village.

The counter-offensive, about which there was a great discussion for a long time in Kiev, began on June 4 in the directions of Yundonietsk, Artemovsk (Bakhmut), as well as in Zaporizhzhya, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine concentrated their main effort.

The Ukrainians threw into battle brigades trained by NATO specialists and equipped with Western equipment.

However, as the Russians note, the Ukrainian troops are not succeeding in any direction and are suffering heavy losses, while hundreds of weapon systems have already been destroyed.

Indicative of the situation with the Ukrainian offensive is the recruitment and transfer of new forces to the front. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is moving operational reserves to Kupyansk.

The corresponding statement was made by the Russian-speaking Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko.

According to him, phalanxes of military equipment are moving into the city from the northwest direction.

"The phalanxes include motorized vehicles and armored vehicles. Tanks are from everyone while personnel and equipment are transported by trucks," Marotsko pointed out.

He also drew attention to the fact that new military equipment is moving to Kupyansk, which has not yet entered the hostilities.

Recruitment centers in Ukraine have been instructed to mobilize up to 90,000 people to undergo rapid training under NATO programs and send them to the front.

The reason is the huge losses during the counterattack, which is why the mass mobilization in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and in Kiev are connected with it, a Russian expert emphasizes.

The fighting is brutal and casualties are heavy, especially among the attacking Ukrainians, as time ticks away and Kiev looks for a breach in the Russian defenses.
