Since the morning of 7 June, Kiev's attack on Russian positions has lost momentum in most of the original directions. Nevertheless, the regime forces continue to try to advance in the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors. The Russian Defence Ministry reports that all attacks by Kiev forces were repelled and NATO-equipped formations suffered heavy losses in manpower and equipment.

In particular, the Ministry of Defence said that Russian forces repelled attacks by the Kiev regime in the direction of South Donetsk. Clashes continue in the Zaporizhzhya region with the main points near Nesteryanka, Kamenskoye and Novoandreevka.

Report of the Chief of the Press Centre of the Vostok Force Group

"In the direction of South Donetsk, the front units of the Vostok Force Group, supported by artillery and air force, are firing on the enemy trying to conduct actions. The enemy attack is successfully contained.

Anti-aircraft gunners of mechanized infantry shot down an AFU Mi-24 helicopter. Osa and Tor surface-to-air missile systems shot down six Furia drones and one Valkyrie drone.

In the Zaporizhia direction, artillery struck strongholds near Nesterianka, Kamenskoe and Novoandreevka, destroyed enemy manpower at a temporary deployment point near Malia Srvbaki and AFU personnel at fighter positions near Chervonaya Krinitsa.

During the clashes, a US-built M777 was uncovered and destroyed by artillery near Novoandrevka. Anti-aircraft gunners shot down an AFU Su-25 aircraft near Energodar. Tor and Strela-10 surface-to-air missile systems shot down two Furia and Leleka drones.

The troops of the Group demonstrate courage and heroism in carrying out combat missions. Sergeant Aleksandr Kolosov , commander of the operations platoon of the self-propelled artillery of the Group's mechanized infantry brigade, served as commander of the artillery crew. During the battle, while under constant enemy fire, the artillery crew under the command of the sergeant skillfully destroyed two enemy forts, a Polish-made mortar and 15 fighters."

Devastation for Ukrainians in South Donetsk

Kiev forces suffered heavy losses during a failed offensive attempt near the village of Novodonetskoe in the South Donetsk sector.

Photos that appeared on the Internet on June 7 showed several pieces of military equipment destroyed or hit by the Russian army, including a Soviet T-64BV tank, four British-made Mastiff ambush-resistant mine-resistant antipersonnel mine (MRAP) vehicles and three unidentified armoured personnel carriers.

Another video from the sector showed at least 11 pieces of equipment, mostly US-made MaxxPro MRAP vehicles, taking direct hits from Russian artillery while trying to retreat near Novodonetskoye.

More casualties in Ukraine were reported by the press chief of the Russian Zapad force group operating in the area.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian artillery destroyed a Soviet-built D-20 tractor-trailer 152 mm howitzer near the village of Revuzeye. A Soviet-built 2S9 Nona 2S9 120 self-propelled mortar was also destroyed near the village of Stelmakhovka with a roving Lancet round.

A video released by Russian news sources also showed a Lancet hitting an unidentified electronic warfare system and a Kiev forces howitzer.

According to the Zapad Group's Chief Press Officer, two attempts by Kiev forces to rotate units deployed in forward positions were disrupted and three sabotage and reconnaissance teams were eliminated in the defence zone of the 6th Combined Arms Army and the 1st Tank Army.

The Group's air force also conducted rocket and bombing attacks on concentration areas of manpower, weapons and materiel of the 14th and 92nd regiments and Territorial Defence units. In addition, a reconnaissance drone was shot down over the sector.

Although they have failed to make any substantial gains since launching their de facto counter-offensive on 4 June, the Kiev forces are still trying to advance.

Kiev forces launched a new offensive on 7 June in the afternoon near the villages of Lobkovoe and Dzerebianki in the Zaporizhzhya region, according to different sources. Clashes are still continuing there. Several waves of attacks have already been repelled by the Russian army.
