Russians advance on Chasov Yar while storming Zalizanske-Ukrainians retreat to breakup from Bakhmut (Video)

The Russian armored vehicles and forces, led by Wagner, are advancing towards Chasov Yar near Bakhmut, while the Russian mercenaries occupied the village and occupied Zalizanske, according to G. Prigozin. A while ago it became known that the Russian fighter Su-24, which was actively supporting the Russian mercenaries, was shot down by the Ukrainians.

Possible Russian plan is for Russian forces to reach the area of concentration of Ukrainian forces in time to have the advantage.

A special correspondent in the wider region reported that the Ukrainian Oblasts are using the "carousel" tactic

In particular, during the Ukrainian counter-attack in the village of Berkhovka, the Ukrainian Tank Division fired at Wagner fighters.

“They moved their tanks to positions near residential buildings. Each tank fired 30 shells, and after that, another tank approached and started firing shells, so we had a continuous barrage for hours," the correspondent said.

He said that the Ukrainians have a well-organized defense in this direction, but at the same time, their defense in some areas was "broken" in just a few hours under the attack of Russian troops.

In complete disintegration are the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are retreating badly from Bakhmut through country roads and fields in the midst of terrible mud.

The Ukrainian battalions in Bakhmut retreat in disarray

"Departments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to retreat from Bakhmut along provincial roads and fields," said the adviser to the head of Donbas G. Gakin, giving an image of their disbandment.

"Scattered Ukrainian units are trying to retreat from Bakhmut along provincial roads," Yan Gagin, an adviser to the acting head of the DPR, told Rossiya 24 TV channel.

At the same time, due to Spring, Ukrainian equipment cannot go through the mud and the Ukrainian army has to retreat on foot.

"Ukrainian soldiers are suffering and suffering heavy losses, while their military equipment is becoming an easy target," Gakin added.

According to him, Ukrainian troops regularly attempt counterattacks, but all of them are short-lived.

"At the same time, the enemy is suffering serious losses in manpower and equipment," added the adviser to the Russian head of Donbass.

The day before, Zelensky's office reported that after a meeting of the Army headquarters, a decision was made to continue holding part of Bahmut.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian troops, General V. Zalusnyi, characterized the defense of the city as a key element for holding the entire front.

On Monday, Ukrainian ground forces commander Oleksandr Shirsky said the situation along the contact line in the Bakhmut region "remains difficult."

All indications are that Russian forces will move towards Slyviansk and Kramatorsk as the Ukrainians try to hold the front which is broken almost everywhere, so far nullifying the impending Ukrainian counter-offensive.
