The fourth signature for the sale of F-35s to Greece has been signed - Τhe process is progressing

The fourth signature required to approve the sale of F-35s to Greece has also been signed, as the Republican vice chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Jimmy Reese, has also signed.

Now, the official briefing of Congress by the American government is expected, as reported by ERT's correspondent in Washington, Lena Argiri.

A few days ago, Senator Robert Menendez, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, expressed the hope that after the elections in Turkey and Greece there will be a different attitude, in favor of peace. Menendez was in New York, a guest of the Chia Federation that honored him with the 3rd "Ionian Medal of Honor".

Asked by KYPE whether after the elections in Greece and Turkey the two sides will be able to sit down at the table and resolve their differences under new conditions, Mr. Menendez expressed the hope that "things will go better after the elections. Undoubtedly, the Greek Prime Minister has emphasized that he himself has the will to meet his Turkish counterpart on the condition that there is mutual respect, peace and security".

Regarding the sale of the F-35, he said that he has already signed.

"We are in the negotiations between the Hellenic Republic and the (US) Government for the acquisition process, but the approvals have already been given, so they are coming."
