The future against fires is firefighting drones - China is already using them on buildings (Video)

On the occasion of the tragic event of the Canadair crash in Karysto and the wait of at least 2 years (at best) for the purchase of Canadair CL-515 through the EU, we present a video article in which the Chinese present their so-called firefighting drone.

A related video shows the action of Chinese firefighting unmanned aerial vehicles in a building.
Chinese drones put out a burning high-rise building in just minutes, the Chinese company that developed the fire-fighting drone announced.

The Chinese drone can extinguish fires at an altitude of up to 600 meters. At the same time, the drone reaches the ignition source in a few seconds and aims at the "heart" of the fire with tremendous efficiency.

In a country like Greece, where fires are a major issue every summer, costing both precious human lives, as well as facilities and land, prevention combined with targeted action in the first hour of the fire is perhaps the only solution.

Referring to the word "prevention" in general, we do not only consider fire safety patrols, the creation of fire zones or the banning of people from entering forests as a solution.

Here it is about the use of technology which has now entered the battle of all the stages that precede and are implemented during a fire.

One such use would be unmanned aerial vehicl es, not only in the fire detection phase (which would also be important) but also in the extinguishing phase, at least in small outbreaks.

By no means can drones...yet, do the terrible work of aerial vehicles, but they can aid and assist firefighting aircraft in a variety of ways.

We remind you that in Greece the industry of unmanned aerial vehicles is booming and we must take full advantage of it.

In addition to the use of firefighting drones in the fight against fire, we now have unmanned ground vehicles such as Thermite, which can fight fires even in the most extreme conditions.

The estimate is that the day is not far off when we will have unmanned aerial vehicles as fire fighters, solving dire current problems, and minimizing the risk of personnel during firefighting missions.

There are many proposals from companies in the industry that are building truly amazing innovative systems that offer fire detection, protection and fire response solutions, and this is something that the decision makers in Greece need to understand deeply.

These are low-cost technological achievements that could initially save homes, property and land.
