Naval Group signed new cooperation contracts with Greek companies within the framework of the FDI HN program

On May 9, 2023 at the DEFEA exhibition in Athens, Naval Group signed new contracts with 5 Greek companies, as part of Naval Group's ambitious Hellenic Industrial Participation (HIP) plan regarding the FDI HN (Hellenic Navy) frigate program. These contracts demonstrate its commitment to develop and structure a strong industrial partnership with the Greek industry.

Naval Group's Greek Industrial Participation plan was launched in March 2022 at the launch of the HN FDI program. With the contracts signed on May 9 at DEFEA, HIP's activities now include more than 60 Greek companies, with highly skilled jobs and economic benefits for Greece. The new contracts signed today at the DEFEA report concern:

Salamis Shipyards & Engineering: block hull pre-fitting activities for both Greek and French FDI.

THEON, an EFA Group company: optoelectronics activities in the FDI HN program through one of our main partners SAFRAN

MEVACO: several new contracts for the production and supply of FDI mechanical equipment

PRISMA: production of naval weapons component

MALLIONDA: new activities involving welders and pipe fitters at the Naval Group shipyard in Lorient.

Strengthening the industrial maritime activity in Greece

Naval Group and the Hellenic Defense Industry are building a long-term partnership that daily demonstrates its high level of skill and ability to provide very high quality equipment and services. Naval Group aims to further develop its footprint in Greece through collaborations with Greek industry, research and academic partners. In this context, Naval Group seeks to expand the participation of Greek companies in its global supply chain, from which they will have the opportunity to participate in other programs and future international tenders.

The Naval Group Hellenic Industrial Participation project will contribute to the construction and support of the HN FDI program as well as the creation of a strong naval industrial ecosystem in Greece. The structured and long-term cooperation implemented by the Naval Group will strengthen production in Greece as well as the ability to meet future needs.
