First successful firing of MAM-T guided munition by ANKA-What is changing in Thrace-Aegean

Turkey, as we have pointed out in many of our articles, is continuing its armament program at a rapid pace, at the same time carrying out certification shots of its domestic ammunition.

First successful firing of the MAM-T guided munition

According to Turkish media, the first firing of ROKETSAN's MAM-T smart munitions, from ANKA SİHA produced by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), was successfully carried out.

Thus in ANKA SİHA's ammunition arsenal, which previously launched missiles and guided munitions such as ROKETSAN's CİRİT, MAM-C and MAM-L, MAM-T was added.

With this shot, the 94 kg MAM-T became the heaviest guided munition ever fired by ANKA SİHA.

ANKA SİHA has been operational for a long time with the 22 kg MAM-L and 6.5 kg MAM-C guided munitions.

The MAM-T, which has been developed locally and nationally, has been optimized for weight and efficiency.

Numerical Data-Targets

It can be used against armored or unarmoured vehicles, buildings and surface targets.

In addition to mid-range guidance capabilities that can be supported by Global Positioning System (GPS) and Inertial Navigation System (ANS), the munitions, which provide high sensitivity against moving and stationary targets, also have a semi-active system laser search.

MAM-T, the newest member of the MAM family, developed according to different platforms.

With a range of 30+ kilometers from ANKA, 60 kilometers from light attack aircraft and more than 80 kilometers from fighter aircraft, the MAM-T is a munition that directly reflects the family's game-changing identity on the battlefield.

What is changing in Aegean-Thrace

From the above, it can be seen that the Turks, thanks to the MAM-T smart munition, multiply their ability to attack targets in Evros and islands, from a distance of more than 30 km, as long as it is launched from the ANKA SİHA, while the distance increases even more if the carrier its launch is either a light aircraft or even more so if it is a fighter aircraft.

In general, the SIHA ANKA will be able to fly with relative safety in Turkish territory, striking from a distance concentrations of reserve tanks, uncovered personnel, as well as fixed targets such as bridges, power plants, dams, water pipelines, ammunition depots, Command Stations and other goals.

ANKA's security against the Greek Air Force will be provided by the Turkish Air Force, the backbone of Turkish anti-aircraft defense, as well as the advancing UCAV TB-2 BAYRAKTAR and KIZILELMA.

The Turks have methodically and steadily built up a significant fleet of UAVs, UCAVs, DRONE KAMIKAZI and USVs, in order to ensure, in conjunction with a very wide range of missiles and munitions they have developed, but also their air force and Navy, air and maritime sovereignty in the Aegean, in order to succeed in their aggressive plans to occupy our islands in the Archipelago, but also to serve the ideology of the "Blue Homeland".

In closing, we point out that our country should IMMEDIATELY acquire large numbers of KAMIKAZI UAV-UCAV-USV-DRONES.

It is preferable for Greece to have 1 less fighter aircraft F-16, which according to recent purchase prices from Bulgaria 1 American F-16 BLOCK70, together with its weapons systems costs 200 million dollars and with the same money to buy 200 UCAVs about or 800 USV.

At the same time, additional portable MANPADS and anti-tank anti-aircraft systems should be promoted from now on to our islands, and especially to micro-islands in the Aegean, but also in Thrace.

Finally, there should be an overlap of their air defense with an anti-drone system.
