The Turkishization of the occupied territories continues with the construction of a huge mosque - Erdogan's support for Tatar who threatens him

The international recognition of the pseudo-state in Cyprus is a key priority of Turkey's foreign policy, in order to implement its plan for the resolution of the Cyprus problem on the basis of the existence of two separate states on the island, in violation of the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions which all provide for the existence of one state on the basis of a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation.

Erdogan's moves for "full control" of Turkish Cypriots

The basic precondition for Erdogan to achieve this is first and foremost that there is full acceptance of the above plan by the Turkish Cypriots, since many of them are experiencing a very bad economic situation, appear conciliatory and willing to adopt the Greek Cypriot solution to the "Cyprus problem", that of the UN Security Council, on a federal state on the island, thus looking forward to obtaining the citizenship of an EU member state with all the economic benefits that this will bring them.

The consequence of the above is that Erdogan is systematically making efforts for the Turkish Cypriots' total acceptance of his plan, supporting the "Tatar's wing".

An important role on top of this is played by the guidance and manipulation of the dissenting Turkish Cypriots and especially the youth in Erdogan's plans, with the result that the Turkish President sets the deepening of the religious sentiment of the Turkish Cypriots as his main priority.

Turkish Vice President Yilmaz inaugurates a huge new mosque in the occupied territories

For this purpose, the largest mosque in Cyprus, the Dr Suat Gunsel mosque, was constructed in the Turkish-occupied area of Nicosia, which according to Turkish media, "is to be inaugurated by Turkish Vice President Yilmaz", who is going to the occupied territories on Erdogan's orders, noting:

"After the opening of the mosque, Yilmaz is going to visit the Gunsel electric car factory and the Nicosia Science Centre.

In the afternoon he is to visit the village of Acheritou, located between Famagusta and Avgoros.

He will be accompanied in Cyprus by Turkish Minister of Technology Mehmet Fatih Kasir. Kacir will also have a meeting with the North's "Minister of Economy" Olgun Amcaoglu.

The Dr Suat Gunsel Mosque is the largest mosque in Cyprus, with a capacity of 10,000 worshippers.

It has six minarets and 62 domes. The tallest minarets soar 76.2 metres into the sky and the main dome is 36.8 metres high.

Inside there are a total of 47 chandeliers and 104 stained glass windows.

Trespassing and lawsuits over the land where the mosque was built

The site of the complex is a huge 30,000 square meter complex, but the ownership of this land has already caused a storm that is about to bring its owners, the Gunsel family, to court.

Ahmet Sanver is going to sue the Gunsel family, saying that part of the complex has been built on his land.

Specifically, he claims that the mosque has been built on land he owns and said on Wednesday that he and his family did not give permission for anything to be built on their land.

"Our land has been taken over. We refer the Gunsels first to God and then to the courts," he said.

"Boiling pot" of the pseudo-state

The situation in the occupied territories is very negative for Erdogan's six-winged Tatar, as we pointed out in a relatively recent article where we pointed out:

"Hundreds of Turkish Cypriots took to the streets of northern Nicosia in a massive anti-'government' protest.

The protest was of a general nature, with protesters decrying corruption, the poor economic situation in the north, the lack of progress on the Cyprus problem and the perceived interference in Turkish Cypriot internal politics ,by Turkey's AKP party, with the stated aim of putting pressure on the 'government' and eventually forcing it to resign."

We understand how this would be disastrous for the plans of Erdogan who, with the support of Tatar, seeks the full dependence of the pseudo-state on Turkey, seeking its international recognition in order to get his hands on the rich natural gas reserves of the Cypriot EEZ, not on behalf of the impoverished Turkish Cypriots, but on behalf of Turkey.
