Are the Turks preparing to take over the entire Dead Zone in Cyprus? They unloaded 155 mm Firtina guns at the port of Famagusta (Video)

The recent incidents in Pyla and elsewhere were not just a coincidence on the part of the Turks in Cyprus, since Ankara has counted on reactions in Nicosia and Athens.

Their plan probably involves the so-called Dead Zone, which they covet to take by moves similar to those we saw on the island.

The newspaper SIMERINI and expert analyst Yiannos Charalambidis revealed that "on December 29, 2023, a Turkish tanker was unloading heavy weapons systems at the occupied port of Famagusta.
We are talking about another squadron of 155 mm self-propelled guns unloaded in Famagusta, destined for Kioneli, and a transfer of a number of missiles of the same caliber.

The same Cypriot analyst reveals that "the Turks did not withdraw the existing trailer guns already in Cyprus, but reinforced them with self-propelled guns".

The most striking point is the newspaper's revelation of the doubling or even tripling of the 155 mm missile stocks.

What the Turks are doing under the nose of Hellenism.

The reinforcement of the Turkish artillery with 155 mm guns, with a range of 40 kilometers, proves that Turkey will "strike" in Cyprus regarding the EEZ and other projects, possibly provocations within Greek Cypriot territory.

We recall that the Turkish occupation forces have already been reinforced with new 155mm Firtina self-propelled artillery systems in Kioneli, Agios Vasilios, Kythrea and Assia, as well as Leopard-2A4 tanks in Kythrea.

The occupation troops in Cyprus number about 35,000 men in total, serving in units of the land army, air force and navy of the occupied territories.

Of these, 17,000 soldiers come from Turkey.

The Turkish Cypriot forces, according to UN reports and postings on their website, are organised into 15 battalions comprising two infantry brigades, which are equipped with light weapons, some light artillery and mortars.

The Turkish Cypriot "navy" consists essentially of coast guard units with 18 light patrol boats, while we note that for some months they have been reinforced with a large landing ship and two smaller ones.

What are Ankara's plans in Cyprus

Turkey is currently apparently in full implementation of plans aimed at the Aegean and Cyprus, showing a peculiar "rush" in their implementation.

As everything indicates, a plan is being implemented in the region to upgrade the Turkish military presence in view of possible new challenges in the Cypriot EEZ.

The neo-Ottoman Turks, led by Erdogan, have in principle set their sights on the buffer zone in Cyprus and are preparing possible "Stroville" type operations, as soon as they are able to expel, ( if they ever succeed) the UN forces.

According to reports, Ankara has a long-standing plan that even includes "aggressive warfare" in the buffer zone, in case UNFICYP withdraws, due to the UN's financial woes and new global ''games''.

Ankara's main plan, however, is clearly the whole buffer zone, which is why it seeks the complete withdrawal of UNFICYP, while partition is the Turks' intended final plan, which Hellenism must cancel in practice by any means.
